It must have been 1978 when I first visited a Formula One Grand Prix race. I was caught by the speed and the noise of the race cars. Mario Andretti won the Dutch Grand Prix in his famous black and gold JPS Lotus. The following years, till 1985 I went often to Zandvoort and made a lot of pictures. Some of them I will put online in the near future. When I started on the internet in 1995, there was not much information about Formula One available. So, I started my own website with news and pictures. It grew out with the 1997 season to The Sports Section. In the winter of 2000, it was time for a redesign and the new site called About F-1, came alive. Later that year, after a HD crash in July last year, in which I lost most of my f-1 archive, and the fact that due to lach of time for maintanance, I had to stop with it. At the moment, there are a few very good Formula One website around. You'll find them here soon too. By the way, the picture above is Ayrton Senna Da Silva, testing the JPS Lotus 97T in Zandvoort 1985, picture taken by me.
