When the inland ice started to recede, the majestic moraine ridge of Fjärås Bräcka was formed. It became an important transport route for the first humans to arrive here about 10 000 years ago. Today the view from the top of the ridge is magnificent. The Iron Age graveyard on the edge of the ridge is one of the finest of its kind with more than 100 old Norse memorial stones.
