Djurgården is a peninsula in central Stockholm. Royal Djurgården or Kungl. Djurgården, has a history of being what its name literally translates to, a royal game park. It is a popular place for tourists with a large number of museums, a zoo and an amusement park, Gröna Lund, as well as great footpaths. Ways to get there include by foot or by tram from Norrmalmstorg, by bus from Sergels Torg or by steam boat from Nybroplan, Skeppsholmen or Slussen. Djurgården has over 10.000.000 visitors/year.
