Our engagement
In February of 2004 Guido invited Malin to Lissabon to spend a long weekend.
Malin took the duty of guiding really serious and tried to see everything in just a few days. She was even so busy she couldn't really think anything like a proposal would take place. Even though it was Valentine 's Day…
In the morning of that day a few euros were spent on shoes at El Corte Ingles, and after that it was time for some more culture at the Gulbenkian museum.
 
Several hours later we had lunch at the museum and Guido was as normal as any day (at least according to what you could see).
When getting back to the hotel for some freshening up, we even had a small argument about where to go for dinner that night. So Guido went down to the reception to sort things out, and came back to ask Malin to marry her!
It was very wise to choose a calm moment at the hotel for this, as Malin is known for her emotional outbursts at such moments. Malin burst out in tears, and wasn't even able to give a proper answer. Please, could you give me an answer, Guido begged, and Malin whispered between tears "yes".
The engagement was celebrated with champagne at the hotel, and a very nice (after all) dinner in a restaurant in the evening.

One week later we placed an ad in the Göteborgs-Posten, a Swedish tradition.
How we met
How did they ever met each other? A lot of rumors have been going around for some time.
It's time to unveill the truth about the way we both met.
It all started in 2002. We were both single but not desperate.
We both had entered some information on a dating website. Guido did it to find out what kind of technique they were using, always eager to find out new Internet-technologies. Malin was enlisted at this website by some friends from work...

Je lijkt me een aardige vent en als ik het niet helemaal verkeerd heb ben
je nieuw op Onehello, dus heet ik je welkom! (Ik ben al "senior member"
met twee weken op deze site :-)
Zoals je kunt zien van mijn profiel ben ik van oorsprong Zweeds maar woon
inmiddels vier jaar in Nederland en heb hier inmiddels mijn draai bijna
helemaal gevonden.
Misschien zouden we eens aan ons conditie werken met wat hardlopen in
Amsterdam? Zou leuk zijn om van je te horen!

this OneHello, so I welcome you! (I'm already a "senior member" with
two weeks on this site :-)
As you can see in my profile I was born Swedish, but I am living already
for four years in Amsterdam and have almost found my way around here.
Maybe we could do work at our condition with doing some running in
Amsterdam? Would be fun to hear from you!
After this first e-mail, we chatted for a few day's, we send e-mails a few times, we had a few long phonecalls.
After just two weeks, we thought that it was about time to go for a walk together.
Since then, we have walked alot together. Through the parks of Amsterdam, the mountains of Morzine, the narrow streets of Lisabon, alongside the Donau in Budapest, through Antwerp and a lot through Sweden.
During a walk in Portugal, on February 14th, we have decided that we wanted to walk together forever and ever.
