1959 - Saab 93 "The Monster" - Saab has been known as an innovative manufacturer since car production began. This car - nicknamed "the Monster" was built as an exeperimental car in 1959. It features two three-cylinder engines, mounted transversely in the engine bay. The result was stunning: 138 bhp and a top speed of 196 kph. The project was shelved, however, competition regulations didn´t allow such daring combinations.
