| Elfsborg Fortress Take a boat trip with Börjessons Restaurang and Utflyktsbåtar to the 17th century fortress. The guided boat tour takes about 30 minutes. This also includes a guided tour on the island. Daily departures from Lilla Bommen between 13 May to 27 August.

| The Palm House The Palm House appeared in Göteborg in 1878 like a gigantic puzzle made of cast iron and glass. Experience a Mediterranean climate and the scent of mimosa all year round. The camellias are just as romantic as the Lady of the Camellias theatrical work, and in the water house the giant water lilies spread their leaves across the water's surface.The Palm House is in Trädgårdsföreningen Park in the city centre with entrances on Södra Vägen and Drottningtorget (Kanalgatan).

| GötheborgsUtkiken GötheborgsUtkiken, 86 metres above sea level, offers a fantastic view of the city, harbour and archipelago. The café offers home-baked cakes, sandwiches and light lunches. Open Monday to Friday from 11:00am to 4:00pm during the summer.

| Museum of Medical History Östra Hamngatan 11. The museum is located in the Oterdahlska building. The reconstructed hospital environments, like most of the objects in the museum, have ties to Göteborg and date from the late 18th century onwards. The museum is open to the general public and researchers.

| Ringlinien All summer you can travel on a vintage tram through the streets of central Göteborg. If you're lucky you may get to travel in a 100-year-old carriage. Vintage carriages from 1900-1960 operate the Liseberg line. The vintage trams are operated by a non-profit association, the Ringlinien Vintage Tram Association, whose members renovate, maintain and staff the trams.

| Ljungskile Between sea and fell is where Ljungskile lies. Fell is an apt name for the modest hills of Bohuslän. The narrow track snakes its way steeply up through the woods for mile after mile. The bay below does more than separate Ljungskile from the island of Orust.
